I have been coaching and training clients since 2004. My
coaching career began as a tennis instructor and segued into
personal training from there. In 2007 I discovered CrossFit and
was hooked. I was especially drawn to the variety of the workouts and how challenging they were. A year later, I received my Level 1 Certification and started
coaching at a local affiliate. After completing the Gymnastics and
Olympic Lifting Specialty certifications, I received my Level 2 in
December 2009 and am now lucky enough to be part of the
CrossFit HQ Staff.

The biggest reward I get from being a trainer is helping people
realize their goals. Words cannot describe the satisfaction of seeing someone overcome a challenge, whether it's weight loss, building strength, or being able to perform a task they were once unable to complete. I have experience training a wide variety of clientele ranging in ages from 13 to 85 years and have also trained people with knee and hip replacements, ACL injuries, rotator cuff problems and many other pre-existing conditions.

I am a Level 1 Certified trainer and have been
CrossFitting since 2009. I was sold on CrossFit after                                                                          my first WOD, which was a very modified Fran.
Before I was introduced to CrossFit I was stuck in
elliptical / DVD workout limbo; I wanted to get into
shape and be healthy, I just didn't know the best way
to go about it. What appealed the most to me about
CrossFit was the constant variety, that each day is a
new challenge, but I also liked that eventually,
workouts are repeated so progress can be tracked.
In short, CrossFit has influenced every aspect of my
life in such a positive and profound way. I hope that others can experience the benefits and I hope that I can help foster those changes.

It is because of the results I have experienced with CrossFit that I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Nutrition. The more immersed I became in the CrossFit community, the more I realized how much bad information was being dispensed. It is my personal mission to debunk the common misconceptions about food and nutrition.
