There is a Scale for That!

In this picture are three different athletes using three different scales of the same movement for the same purpose: to get stronger.

Scale is not cheating, it isn’t “taking the easy way out.” When done properly, scaling makes the workout adequately challenging, yet do able to allow for the most effective workout.
